WHY CRITICAL THINKING MATTERS

“The Supreme Art of War is to subdue the enemy without fighting” – Sun Tzu

Welcome to the Critical Thinking workshop on Sun Tzu’s Art of War. Sun Tzu was a Chinese military general, strategist, and philosopher who lived during the Eastern Zhou period, and his book, The Art of War, is considered a classic of military strategy and one of the most influential works on the subject.

The Art of War is not just a book about military strategy, but also a guide to understanding conflict, negotiation, and decision-making in all areas of life. Its teachings have been applied to business, sports, politics, and personal relationships, among other things.

In this workshop, we will explore the key principles of The Art of War and discuss how they can be applied to critical thinking in various contexts. We will examine how to assess situations, gather information, and make informed decisions. We will also discuss how to apply strategic thinking to solve problems and overcome obstacles.
